The PREP Room is a space dedicated to sample preparation. It is equipped with workbenches, centrifuges, autoclaves, precision balances and other essential instruments for preparing solutions or samples intended for further analysis.

BOOKING INFORMATION
In order to use the equipment in the PREP Room, users must undergo training on the correct and safe use of tools, machines, systems, substances, and personal protective equipment.
The training is conducted by staff members, by appointment via email, or by other qualified personnel.
After completing the training, the user must fill out the following report, which must be signed by both the user and the person who provided the training, and then sent to the staff either by email or in hard copy.
Afterward, the staff will enable the user’s badge for access to the room.

Beckman Avanti J-20 XP Refrigerated Centrifuge
The Beckman Coulter Avanti J-20 XP is a high-performance, large-volume refrigerated centrifuge able to handle the everyday demands of high throughput laboratories. The Avanti JXN Series from Beckman Coulter delivers top quality, flexible performance with greater separation forces for large volume applications, up to 6 liters worth, runs at a top speed of 26,000 RPM, or 82000 x g, and has a temperature range of -10°C to 40°C.
Additionally, the low noise, low heat output Avanti J-20 XP has a dial to select your desired rotor from 7 different compatible options, including rotors that can accommodate 3 and 4 liter swing bucket rotors, as well as rotors that can handle up to 24 microplates. The Beckman Avanti J-20 XP Centrifuge can handle a wide variety of applications from rapid sedimentation, pelleting, purifications, separating blood components, bacteriophage isolation, and much more.

CentrifugE MPW-150r
The centrifuge MPW-150R with cooling is a high performance laboratory micro-cooler. It is widely used in all kinds of laboratories including medical, scientific and industrial, biochemical, veterinary and others. The centrifuge ensures versatility of applications, high spin parameters as well as precision and repeatability of processes. It has a wide range of available rotors and other equipment.

Microtome cryostat double compressor MC 4000
MC 4000 is a semiautomatic microtome cryostat with dual compressor. Provided with disposable blade holder with adjustable cutting angle and anti-roll device. The motorized feed control is accessible through a separate control panel.
Equipped with double cooling circuit that allows user to set temperature of specimen differently from cryochamber and shelter temperature. UVC lamp decontamination and automatic defrosting.

Manual Rotary Microtome MR2258
The MR2258 is a manual rotary microtome, the essential features you need for sections in paraffin embedded tissues. For routine and research applications. The handwheel block is easily operated and can be accommodated in any position. Simple and precise object head orientation. The clamp is suitable for all types of standard biocassettes and is interchangeable by the operator with the ring clamp (optional). Both steel knife (optional) and disposable blades can be used. Cutting range from 0,5 to 60 microms.

Trimodular Embedding Center Touch Screen TEC2900
The Main Console of TEC2900 is a paraffin dispenser. Parameters can be modified using the LCD touch screen control panel. Temperature control carried out by electronic thermostat with microprocessor. Visualization and modification of 4 independent thermostated areas, such as the paraffin tank, the cassette trays and the base and work table. Automatic switching on and off daily or weekly. Vapor treatments with activated charcoal filter. Cold light lighting system that allows optimal illumination on the inclusion surface. Pedal for dispensing the supplied paraffin for ease of inclusion. Removable magnifying glass.

STERISTEAM II
Vertical-loading sterilization autoclave with 8 preset automatic sterilization cycles and 1 customizable free sterilization cycle, allowing the user to set temperature parameters (between 105°C and 135°C) and time as desired.
