My badge is not working to open the doors with electronic access. Who should I contact?

I should contact the Servizi Generali office (servizigenerali.dsf@unipd.it), which will assess what the problem is.
If the issue concerns only the access to a specific gate, and I do not have the training record required to use the equipment inside, I should contact the Coordinator of the Facility involved or the staff members.

What should I do if I have to access the Department during the closing periods?

Those who need to access the department during closing periods for research activities must e-mail direzione.dsf@unipd.it AND rgt.dsf@unipd.it, including the following information:

  • Names of those who will enter the department;
  • Indication of the time of stay in the department;
  • Name of the safety officer (or a designated delegate)

In the case of solo access, it is recommended to use the “Dispositivo Uomo a Terra” (man down device) (https://techresources.dsfarm.unipd.it/dispositivo-uomo-a-terra/).

DIDACTIC MATERIAL STORAGE

Is there a warehouse for the Research Groups Department?

Yes, the Teaching Supplies Service provides ethanol (96% and absolute, exempt from excise duty), bleach, gloves and paper rolls to research groups. All information relevant to the Service can be found at https://techresources.dsfarm.unipd.it/edu-labs-warehouse-service.

Are deliveries of goods ordered from the warehouse made every day?

No, deliveries are scheduled every Friday at 11:30 a.m. and made to the basement of Building A (Geotec 00190 -01 028), near the LPT laboratory lockers.

I requested the material, but when I went to collect it, it was not available. Why?

This occurs due to a failure to register in the order management system, mainly due to the use of forms that have already been used in the past (which should never be done). To avoid this, requests for materials must always and only be made using the ‘REQUEST’ button found on the page https://techresources.dsfarm.unipd.it/edu-labs-warehouse-service.

Can I modify a request that has already been submitted, removing or adding items?

Yes, you can modify a request that has already been sent, deleting/adding material as you wish (always no later than 10:30 a.m. on Friday), by opening the form attached to the request notification email and clicking on the green ‘MODIFY RESPONSE’ button.

Where is the waste disposal site for DSF?

The chemical waste storage area for the DSF (Sud-Piovego storage area) is located on the internal road within the department, towards Engineering, behind the Preventive Medicine building. The biological waste storage facility, on the other hand, is located in Building B, ground floor, room Geotec 00240 00 014 (upon entering, at the end of the corridor, last door on the right).

I have some waste that I don’t know how hazardous it is. Who should I contact?

If you are unable to identify waste independently, always contact deposito.ambiente@unipd.it or ambiente@unipd.it, who will be able to indicate the appropriate CER code, the pictograms to be applied and the disposal methods.

Where can I find empty waste bins?

Empty waste containers (jerry cans or bins) can be collected from the warehouse located under classroom A of the Department of Chemical Sciences. Upon collection, please indicate on the appropriate form which containers have been collected and the research group. The warehouse has 5, 10 and 20 litre tanks and 50 litre yellow bins. The warehouse has the same opening hours as the temporary chemical waste storage facility (Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00).
